A Little Goes A Long Way!
The bucket which is kept on the counter at Spofforth Shop was allocated to Spofforth Primary School in December, and the total collected was generously doubled by the owner of the shop John Singh.
Nativity 2023
The Reception and Nursery children of Spofforth and Follifoot Federation performed The Nativity with great enthusiasm and excitement. All 3 performances were a great success!
Christmas Crafting
Mrs McCann and Craft Club had fun making personalised Elf’s on the Shelf.
Guide Dogs Fundraiser
Florence, Eleanor and Olive in Class 2 raised a total of £72.00 for Guide Dogs from their skipping challenge in school and selling bracelets and bookmarks.
It was all totally their own idea and all the children really seemed to get behind the cause so a big thank you to everyone as they raised a fantastic amount!
Children In Need Day 2023
We had a great time on Friday 17th November for Children In Need! We saw some wonderfully spotty outfits, played some fun spotty games and ate lots of spotty buns! Well done to everyone who took part in the Bearpee Challenge. Every class reached their 1000 Bearpee target! Thank you all for taking part and bringing in cakes. We have raised a grand total of £394.85!
If you have sponsor money to bring in, please do so by the end of the week (Friday 1st December).
Remembrance
The children from Follifoot were invited to the church to see the beautiful display of poppies created for Remembrance Day. The children were very respectful and interested; asking lots of questions and wanting to find out more about the local residents who lost their lives during the wars.

Football Competition
Years 3&4 had a lovely day on Tuesday 7th November. The children played well and really enjoyed themselves. We came fourth overall and Harrison won our wristband for encouraging others and being determined.
Developmental Language Disorder
Spofforth school had a great day on Friday 20th October raising awareness of DLD (Developmental Language Disorder). We wore lots of purple and yellow and School Council gave a wonderful assembly telling us all about DLD.
Eden Camp Trip
Years 5 and 6 across the Federation enjoyed their visit to Eden Camp. The children were respectful and interested; learning all about World War 2 and asking lots of questions.
High Five Netball Tournament
Years 5 and 6 across the federation attended a High Five Netball tournament organised by Sporting Influence. We had a great morning with Spofforth finishing first and Follifoot second.
