‘Living things and their habitats’
As part of their Science topic ‘Living things and their habitats’ Class 1 spent the afternoon in the garden building a bug hotel, with the added benefit that it will keep all the newly planted fruit and vegetables safe from being eaten by aphids! The children searched for and grouped different materials including bark, pot, leaves and logs. They also measured, cut out and rolled up pieces of cardboard to make a home for lacewings.
