Children In Need Day 2023
We had a great time on Friday 17th November for Children In Need! We saw some wonderfully spotty outfits, played some fun spotty games and ate lots of spotty buns! Well done to everyone who took part in the Bearpee Challenge. Every class reached their 1000 Bearpee target! Thank you all for taking part and bringing in cakes. We have raised a grand total of £394.85!
If you have sponsor money to bring in, please do so by the end of the week (Friday 1st December).
Developmental Language Disorder
Spofforth school had a great day on Friday 20th October raising awareness of DLD (Developmental Language Disorder). We wore lots of purple and yellow and School Council gave a wonderful assembly telling us all about DLD.
Eden Camp Trip
Years 5 and 6 across the Federation enjoyed their visit to Eden Camp. The children were respectful and interested; learning all about World War 2 and asking lots of questions.
High Five Netball Tournament
Years 5 and 6 across the federation attended a High Five Netball tournament organised by Sporting Influence. We had a great morning with Spofforth finishing first and Follifoot second.

Open Evening for Parents/Guardians of children starting school (or nursery) in September 2024
Open Arms Malawi Charity
Spofforth School Council have done an absolutely fantastic job at fundraising for our chosen charity, Open Arms Malawi. The whole school enjoyed a fun filled Mini Summer Fayre, with tasty cakes, lucky dips and some incredible hula hooping! A big well done to our competition winners and a huge thank you to everyone who donated. We raised an amazing £378!
Sports Days
What fabulous mornings we had at both our schools sports days! Thank you to everyone who made it such a success and so much fun for the children.
Reading Corner at Spofforth School
After our fundraising last year, School Council have got some cosy beanbags and blankets for our outdoor reading corner. We have a box of lovely books for the children to read, enjoy and relax whilst outside.
The Yorkshire Rotters!
Spofforth School welcomed The Yorkshire Rotters to school on Friday 28th April. The children learnt all about composting and taking her of the environment. All the children made a wormery to help them compost at home.
Born of the Forest visit
Class 3 at Spofforth had such a fantastic time when they visited Born of the Forest in Follifoot recently.
