We had a fantastic wellbeing day on Friday at Spofforth School. Thank you to all the parents who donated plants, flowers and their time. Our outdoors now look amazing!! The sensory area in the playground is beautifully decorated with wind chimes, herbs, lavender and lots of colour. The Bug hotel has been renovated and hopefully will attract lots of wildlife. A huge thank you to Helen, who is a children’s yoga teacher, for coming in and working with each class on a yoga and mindfulness session. The children also had lots of fun with many other activities!

Road Safety Talk
Chrystal the sustainable travel officer from NYC came in on Tuesday to talk to the Reception and KS1 children about road safety.
“We learnt that you must check for cars before crossing the road and not to wear headphones or be on your phone as you won’t hear any cars. You have to try and not get distracted as you need to be concentrating.
We enjoyed learning about road safety in fact we loved it”
