Years 1&2 trip to Tropical World
Years 1 and 2 from Spofforth and Follifoot had a great day out at Tropical World just before the half term holiday. There was a workshop in the morning, and they found out lots about Food Chains and the difference between prey and predator, they even talked about apex predators. A couple of children were chosen to get dressed up as a gecko and meerkat and we talked about their characteristics. We then went off to Tropical World and saw so many wonderful animals which included fish, stingray, spiders, birds, butterflies, large tortoises and some very sleepy meerkats. We had so much fun!

Thank you to all parents that attended our Easter celebration this week. The children performed fabulously bringing a lovely church to life with song, poetry and thoughtful and reflective readings at this special time. My thanks to the teachers, parents and of course the pupils for the hard work and efforts to make the occasion such a success. This was quickly followed by Mr Lakin and Reverend Barbara who judged the Easter Egg design competition, such amazing designs, the decisions were really tough, my congratulations to all.
